Kitesurfing or kiteboarding is a surface water sport that uses the wind to pull a rider through the water on a small surfboard a kiteboard similar to wakeboarding. Many operators offer lessons in East End and Kiabo on Grand Cayman. watching the instructors and individuals do jumps over the dock, race dive boats and doing it all barefoot is a phenominal experience and truely one to remember right before you sign-up for lessons. If you are visiting Little Cayman they also have an opperator who also proides lessons. Many kite boarders will also go to South Sound or Spotts. You can see them from Spotts Beach or the beach behind the cemetary on South Sound Road. The waves on the south side of the island are usually rougher and provide for more air and better surging. Lessons usually last for two half days which allows for time to do other activities while experiencing one of the most adrenaline filled adventures offered in the Cayman Islands.
