One of the most stunning venues in Grand Cayman, which happens to also be the home of the groom's family, was the perfect location for Angelique and Sean's wedding celebration. "It was either a wedding in Sweden or in Cayman and it wasn't very difficult to make that decision as Cayman is a perfect island to get married on if you have a lot of overseas guests." Over 200 family members and friends joined them from around the world at One Collins Road to witness and celebrate. "And since we own the catering company, Mis en Place, we got a great deal as well!"
Angelique wore an ivory Rafaelli wedding dress while her bridesmaids flanked her in black short cocktail dresses all accessorized with a different color fabric flower to the dress. Sean wore a black Armani Suit with an ivory shirt and tie and his groomsmen complemented him in black trousers, ivory shirts and black ties.
All decor was provided by Massive and Octopus Events. An open, white lined tent with white lightinging welcomed the guests with soft pink hues and by the time dessert was served was totally hot pink! The bride's bouquet consisted of white roses and hot pink tulips while the bridesmaids bouquets were hot pink tulips. Celebrations created the floral for the groomsmen and parents. The centerpieces were created during a girl's lunch the day before as the 20 girls actually picked all the bougainvilleas and incorporated them into stunning black candelabras.
Since the bride is from Sweden, Angelique and Sean incorporated many touches to honor her traditions, serving elderberry drinks as the guests arrived. Vol au vont, the main course was a lobster and file with chanterelle potato cake served with a lingon berry demi glace.
Their talented pastry chef created the three layer square cake with strawberry filling, white icing with black stripes and hot pink polka dots.
To share Grand Cayman with their overseas guests, many staying at the Sunshine Suites, Angelique and Sean rented Jolly Rogers for all the oversea guests one afternoon, held a BBQ at Morgan's Harbor the day after the wedding and relaxed on the beach with their private DJ Jeremy Kandiah.
"We only got great feedback from our guests. They all thought it was a great party with a lovely atmosphere and a beautiful setting!"
