Having each lived in several different cities throughout their lives Laura and Mike found choosing a wedding location that felt right was a difficult decision. "We agreed that our dream wedding would be small and intimate, filled with the friends and family who wanted to surround us on our special day. We also shared in a lifelong love for the beauty of the sea and the appreciation of a perfect sunset. From there, the Cayman Islands was a simple decision. The clear water, perfect beaches, fabulous cuisine, easy transportation, friendly people and affordable yet pleasing resorts made up our minds for us!"
From an island-style welcome party to a farewell breakfast at The Westin, Laura and Mike were able to spend quality time with their family and friends during their wedding weekend, all enjoying "the amazing food and drinks each night as we made our way around to the many restaurants and lounges that Cayman had to offer. Each place we stopped at had its own charm, creative menus, pleasant service and a unique style that satisfied our every mood."
Laura infused the wedding with personal touches she personally designed - using iconic elements such as starfish and seahorses all set against a fun but stylish color palette of vibrant pinks and oranges. The team from Celebrations brought her vision to life - including a beachfront open air white tent aglow with thousands of twinkling white lights for the reception!
