Bride: Enola Martin, Risk Manager
Groom: Clement Reid, Deputy Port Director
Hometown: George Town/Grand Cayman
Date: April 18
Ceremony & Reception: Pedro St James
Marrying in Grand Cayman was a simple choice for Enola & Clement. "It is our home and it is paradise! Everything you need can be found at one of the local vendors!"
"Our wedding was relaxed, simple and elegant. We wanted our families and friends to feel as if they were at a backyard picnic. We dispensed with all of the formalities of a wedding. There were no formal tables. Instead we had cocktail tables sofas with ottomans and day beds with cushions."
Enola wore a fitted ivory gown accented with Swarovski Crystals while Clement was in a linen guayabara with French cuffs and John Hardy Cufflinks and brown linen pants. The floral and decor was simple with bamboo accents provided by Celebrations. With a jazz band providing the background music friends and family munched on typical Caymanian appetizers.
The wedding cake was a delicious two layer carrot cake with three dimensional bamboo in fondant, a brown bow and a leaf with "R" initial. Enola wanted to celebrate Clement's love of cycling and photography so she surprised him with a mini groom's cake. Full of Beans cafe made a cheese cake covered in fondant, with the design of a man on a cycle with a camera around his neck.
"The entire wedding experience was the best and all of our guests were complimentary of the relaxed atmosphere and feel."
