Celebrating 21 years

As the event swims into its 21st year on June 15, 2013, we invite you to participate in what has come to be considered a must-do event for open water aficionados and has been named one of the World’s Top 13 Open Water Swims.

The Flowers Sea Swim is Grand Cayman’s flagship sporting event. Last event’s race boasted over 900 registrants. Participants vary in age from 8 to 80 years old and in skill from novices and first-timers to gold medal Olympians and world championship open water specialists from around the globe. The Flowers Sea Swim welcomes Swimmers from all strokes of life!

US$10,000 will be awarded to the swimmer who breaks the record for the world's fastest recorded ocean mile. US$5,000 is awarded for setting a new event record. The times to beat are: Men's world record: 16:00 mins; Women's world record: 17:21; Men's event record: 17:18; Women's event record: 17:47.

Cayman Scuba Mile

Looking for more adventure? Try the Cayman Scuba Mile on June 15th on Seven Mile Beach Grand Cayman.

The Cayman Scuba Mile is a relay race with a difference, with teams of four divers (with two support snorkelers) racing ¼ mile each on scuba – the first team across the finish line wins bragging rights for a year and a trophy to proudly display.

Race registration is CI$200 per team with ALL proceeds benefiting the Special Olympics Cayman Islands. Each team member will receive a goodie bag with a Scuba Mile T-Shirt and be entered to win random prizes!
